1420 Foundation

The RMP Group is closely involved in the key initiatives of the 1420 Foundation. 1420's Education for a Sustainable World program is designed to bridge the learning from their classroom learning and the real life application and furthermore to take that knowledge and put it towards the creation of a sustainable world. The RMP Group and 1420 believe that the new sustainable world is one in which our planet's physical and human resources are productively utilized in a manner which ensures their availability for future generations.

Andover Alumni Council

The founder of The RMP Group, Richard M Powell is actively engaged in the Alumni Council of Phillips Academy. As a member, he provide advice and counsel to the school on matters related to education, administration, admission and financial aid policies, and assist the Trustees and administration in raising funds for the school. Ballaz International Group is a Caribbean-based organization focused first and foremost on youth development. The group organizes camps that provide “Ballaz” of Jamaica a venue to expand their knowledge of football, and learn life skills, while connecting with the Ballaz team, the Ballaz philosophy and, at the same time, have fun. Early Childhood Education is best investment that could be made in the life of a child. Crayons Count! is a Do Good Jamaica campaign created to support Early Childhood Education. This project is endorsed by the Early Childhood Commission (ECC) and has two objectives: (1) To put a learning kit of materials in all early childhood institutions (i.e. basic and infant schools as recognized by the ECC) across Jamaica at back to school in September 2012, (2) To raise awareness of the importance of Early Childhood Education. Determined to Educate, Inc. is a nonprofit organization established to re-invent communities worldwide. Since its establishment in 2007, the RMPG Chairman sits on the selection committee of the Powell-Bull Scholarship, which was named in memory of members of the Powell family (and a close friend) who believed in education as the key to the future for youth in Jamaica.
